NewsCab is a taxi network in Munich and Vienna

Installed on the headrests in front of the passengers, the two touch-screens can be used individually by each passenger sitting in the backseat.

Perceived travel time is noticeably shortened, by providing passengers with handy information about the city and other actualities. The special thing about this network is that it is local based communication - which means the ads and information changes in function of the travel itinerary.

The presently equipped taxis (20 in Munich and 24 in Vienna to start with) carry about 12.000 passengers each week, who have time to fully concentrate on the screens.
